Castor Properties' co-founders have been HUD Operators and Managers for sixteen years. The hands-on approach, coupled with Castor's core values, is what drives the results.
Our co-founders are adapted to working with multiple Contract Administrators throughout the HUD regions, so submissions arrive in the format each one expects and questions get answered before they become findings.
Castor Properties is a management company that brings tailored needs to each client and each property. What a 40-unit Section 8 site needs is not what a multi-layered LIHTC deal needs, and we do not pretend otherwise.
RAD conversions
Managing through a conversion, and after it.
The Rental Assistance Demonstration moves public housing onto project-based assistance. The transaction gets the attention. The harder part is the morning after, when staff who ran public housing rules for years are suddenly running project-based ones, on new systems, against new deadlines.
Castor manages through that. We have run HUD-assisted portfolios for sixteen years and rebuilt occupancy and certification processes from the file up — which is exactly what a converted property needs.
